    Sign-in & role check

    Signed out → 401. Client viewer role → 403. Only working roles may run.

    Rate limit

    10 runs per minute per user. The 11th request waits — 429, by design.

  4. STEP 04

    AIProductService

    The single gateway. Assembles the governance prompt and validates the product contract.

  5. STEP 05

    Provider adapter

    Reads AI_PROVIDER / AI_API_KEY / AI_MODEL / AI_BASE_URL. Any OpenAI-compatible API.

  6. STEP 06

    Model responds

    Live model when AI_* vars are set — otherwise an explicitly labelled mock echo.

  7. STEP 07

    Labelled draft

    Every output is stamped AI_GENERATED_DRAFT with run id, model and timestamp.

  8. STEP 08

    Human approval

    Nothing publishes itself. A reviewer approves, edits or rejects the draft.

Decision point at stage 05: if AI_API_KEY is configured the request travels to the live provider; if not, the pipeline still runs — but answers with a clearly marked mock, so demos never masquerade as live intelligence.
